All of us children, no matter what age, should try to be considerate towards our parents and adults in our lives. We should try to lend a hand around the house and take on some of our parents burden. Soon enough we will be adults and parents faced with the same anxieties. Be mindful to your parents and administer the love they deserve for trying their hardest. Be a respectful person and take on the responsibilities your parents have been trying to teach you. The first step to kindness should be the love you will to your parents. To you, I pose a challenge. I have been so overwhelmed by this in Tennessee, that I did not realize how widespread this lack of respect has become, until reading this article. Jamee Miller has a Facebook page created for Florida Teachers (), and after reading her essay and viewing the Facebook page, I was inspired to create a Facebook Group called “I am an Educator in America” (). The teacher is a respected person

It is a shame that lawmakers hold educators completely responsible for a childs success. But, the truth of the matter is, lawmakers need to hold the parents responsible for the success of a child. Teachers spend countless hours helping thier students try and pass these state mandated tests. But, they can only do so much, at some point the parents need to be held to the same accountablity as the teachers when it comes to THEIR child’s education. When parents don’t bring thier child to school, they don’t assist with homework, they wash thier hands of the child and expect the world to raise their child. I tip my hat to the lawmakers of Florida for taking a stand for teachers.

According to several communities, teachers are perceived as the greatest of all parents since they spend much of their time with their subjects compared to their parents. Given this, we should never ignore or neglect our teachers, but always ensure that we grant them the respect and love they require.

Some of the students probably hate me

Teaching is considered as a noble profession, with teachers granted the privilege of respect within the society. In several societies, the teacher is allowed a place of respect just like an individual’s mother or father. In other words, teachers are upheld as men and women of wisdom and infinite knowledge, hence deserving respect. However, the democratization of education has opened up opportunities for different students from different castes, creeds, class, and places of birth, an aspect that has seen the need for more teachers and schools. In as much as teachers remain in authority in molding students, there is a need to place them on top of the social pyramid with due respect as the makers of character in students.
